Poem written by Nilofar Mehrin: A Song For "The Blue Eyed" one

" Song for the Blue eyed one"

 Painting . Nilofar Mehrin
70x50 water colour 1979/80

Can i ask you blue eyed one /
 What lies beyond your vision?/
  I am searching the world/
For the possible answers /
i am the one who is pursueing/ the fading lights and shadows / of a civilization.
Oh BEyed one/ Let us/ Step one step beyond / This thing called "reality" / In order to learn to live with a dreaming heart./

My BEyed friend/  Has a clear rational eye / which can see beyond/ all the dark organic curtainsThe BEyed one has a pagan "Here & Now"/Religion/ He sticks to life / As if he were eternally /Glued/ To /It./  He likes the /Clinging tight skirts/ The long slim legs/ All flesh/  Oh BEyed one / Your California swimming pool eyes/ Your Cote D'Azure; Majorca/ Cool ,Cool gaze/ Reflect innocent indifference/ For my/ Existance./ Even though/
You seem to care/ For my passionate struggle/
You say that it is/ Proven Scientifically
That even mosquitoes
Know
 How to fly
Automatically
They don't have to have a degree
Or even study for a PHD
It is the law of the third eye
that is
knowing what you only know yourself
I was telling you
about the subconscious
which constantly shines like the sun
It feels like a warm embrace
it hangs in the breeze
like swinging coloured Chromosomes
 Long gliding strands
Floating off near roof tops
Like' fresh clean linen
While in my
mysterious dark pockets
i find
The deep urge
which pushes me
Straight in your direction

I was desiring
Your Technology and Fun
Your glamorous days
So that
Like  a
Drug
pouring
in
my
veins
 I
Could
Forget
About
My messy
& melting
Left & right
Hemissheres
Perhaps i could
take
a
pill
and
forget ....
The Little Squares of Time
That is Life seconds
Rushing off
towards
the past
I want to
Capture
"The Little Running Squares"
I want to
mail it
packed
in a fantastic
packet
To some one i know

oh! please pour your
Atlantic Ocean
Pacific waters too
all over my boiling
far-fetched fantasy;

it is like
when you try LSD
 Or reading a book
In an enclosed garden
You feel
rested
& in a vision
 you see yourself
standing
beside
 A singing fountain
soothing on a summers day
with red water melons
For
Lust.

Article from "The New York Times" Madagascar and Vanila plantations Photographs and Text by FINBARR O’REILLY AUG. 29, 2018

Comment:  I once found a bag near a shopping Mall in Paris ....  It looked like a girl owned it because it was full of makeup bits and pieces and there were a lot of cards in it , one of which belonged to a buisness school and this had her name on it.  The student was from Madagascar and i was sighing to myself when i called the school and the receptionist wasnt helpful in finding the person i was looking for.  I went to the consolate or Embassy one morning , spending money on a Taxi in order to give the bag to a safe person working there.  The consolate reminded me of  consolates or embassies representing very poor countries ...   .... where is  all the money and wealth going ? SAMBAVA, Madagascar — Bright moonlight reflected off broad banana leaves, but it was still hard to see the blue twine laced through the undergrowth, a tripwire meant to send the unwary tumbling to the ground. “This is the way the thieves come,” sai...

Abigail Heyman’s Groundbreaking Images of Women’s Lives (from The New Yorker)

Photo Booth Abigail Heyman’s Groundbreaking Images of Women’s Lives By Naomi Fry November 1, 2019 “Houma Teenage Beauty Contest,” 1971. Photographs by Abigail Heyman In a two-page spread featured early on in “ Growing up Female ,” a photography book by Abigail Heyman, from 1974, two black-and-white pictures are laid out side by side. The left-hand photo shows a reflection of a little girl, from the shoulders up, gazing at herself in a bathroom mirror. The child, who is perhaps four or five, with dark, wide-set eyes and a pixie haircut, is separated from her likeness by a counter, whose white-tiled expanse is littered with a variety of beauty products: perfume bottles, creams, and soaps. These quotidian markers of feminine routine are accompanied by an element of fantasy; gazing at herself, the little girl stretches a slinky into a makeshift tiara atop her head. Seemingly mesmerized by her own image, she is captured at the innoce...
